SPECIAL PRIZE

"Les Amateurs Virtuoses"

Awarded by the Paris-based organization “Les Amateurs Virtuoses.” mehr

ABOUT US

Le Amateurs Virtuoses (“Virtuoso Amateurs”) is a globally unique festival that offers extraordinary performance opportunities to pianists who lead a fascinating “double life”.

Besides their passion for the piano, most of the festival's artists also work in completely different professions – in fields such as engineering, architecture, medicine, science or teaching.

As the first festival of its kind, Les Amateurs Virtuoses offers prizewinners of international piano competitions for amateurs the opportunity to play on some of the world's most important stages – such as the Philharmonie and Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, the Margravial Opera in Bayreuth, the Théâtre Antique in Vaison-la-Romaine, the Capella in Saint Petersburg, the Usina del Arte in Buenos Aires or the Cape Town City Hall.

Today, Les Amateurs Virtuoses is the largest and most prestigious event of its kind worldwide – a celebration of music, passion and encounters.
