ABOUT US

To revive the tradition of sophisticated musical and cultural participation in Austria, the WIENER KLAVIERFORUM promotes a dedicated pianist scene based on international models.

Our goal is to promote high-level piano playing across a broad societal spectrum, improve networking among musicians, and create opportunities to inspire lifelong learning and developement on the keyboard. The competition is therefore open to all pianists who do not/no longer/ or not yet earn their living playing the piano, regardless of whether they received institutional or private training. Furthermore, the Vienna Piano Forum aims to provide opportunities for advanced musical education for all dedicated music enthusiasts.
